Last week, a trial court in Floyd County granted summary judgment in favor of our clients in a case involving sexual assault by a teacher when they were students at The Darlington School in Rome, Georgia. Having previously obtained a consent judgment against the school itself, this phase of the case sought coverage from Darlington’s insurers, most of which had denied coverage for the claims that occurred in the 1970s and 1980s. I and my colleagues Darren Penn, Kevin Ketner, and Hannah Sbaity represented the plaintiffs, most of whom chose to remain anonymous.
